Following is a description of many of the different areas of testing we provide.

SyncML Compliance:

To obtain the permission to display the SyncML logo, a device must be designated as Compliant by the SyncML organization. There are two (2) steps to gaining compliance, being Conformant and being Interoperable.
To be conformant, a company must submit passing results from the SCTS testing tool and a completed SyncML Implementation Conformance Statement from the associated Proforma to the SyncML organization. We can provide all testing necessary with the SCTS tool, help determine and explain issues and problems that may occur, and submit the results to the correct contact within the SyncML organization on our customers behalf. SoftVision will also submit a correctly created Conformance Statement and verify that all information contained within it is valid and accurate.
To be interoperable, a company must attend a SyncFest and pass the suite of Test Cases with at least two (2) devices that are attending from other companies. We can attend the SyncFest on our customers behalf, completing all necessary tests to garner the SyncML logo.

Pre-SyncFest Testing:

If a device is scheduled to attend a SyncFest, it is highly recommended that approximately 20-30 hours of pre-SyncFest interoperability (IOP) testing be done. This will help to guarantee that certification at the SyncFest event proceeds smoothly without last-minute, late-night bug fixes by engineers back at the company office. If the application is a new application, more time may be needed to account for code changes that could be required to address issues that arise from this pre-testing. We can provide our customers with all necessary pre-SyncFest testing, and help determine and explain issues or problems that may occur.
